dizzy spells, no balance and always hungry (?)
I like food but not 24/7
another payday for Hutin in todays Wairarapa Times Age...
Todays Wairarapa times age has yet another full page editorial from one mathew hutin giving his OPINION about the outcome of this years general election.
He claims that the nationals party are going to go with tired old winston peters to secure a majority.
I dont think this is going to happen but the nationals party and their myrmidons are getting more and more desperate by the day as their leader fails to gain any traction.
hitching their coat tails to winston is more likely to lose them votes than gain them.
the POST excels in todays partisanship...
Today in the first weekend edition of the POST they have a full page devoted to spruiking for the man who would be king Christopher Luxin.
This is ghastly stuff and a good reason for the masses to desert the printed media when they carry on like this.
He is basically a parvenu manque desperate to succeed after being a ring in.

memo to frances morton sst...
it used to be that SST stood for supersonic transport but now it is just the old sunday star times.
This week is a doozy. full of right wing diatribes, propaganda and half truths retailed at full price.
the editor of the sst makes at least two egregious errors in her editorial today.
1. first she cries that no one is interested in local body politics but the thing is that local body politicians once they are elected try to stay as far away from the voters as possible. They are not actually seen to be responsive to individual problems or care for the concerns of the voters. once they are in it is guranteed pin money for three years.
2. morton makes yet another critique of society on the grounds of colonialism and the supposed effects on people in general. colonialism brought spuds, pumpkins peas corn mutton beef pork cars telephones televsion and who knows what else and there is nobody alive in the world today who was alive when the world was made into one unit.
the origins of colonialist theories bear a similar relationship to rap noise. rap began as a vanity press for overmoneyed dealers of crack in the "projects" and are now lost in time as the musical thieves and their acolytes shove their torrents of words down everybody elses throats. eat it mother
modern colonial theory is a concatenation of busy body do gooders in American university philosophy departments who think they can right wrongs that occurred two centuries ago but by stirring up a hornets nest for angry people to hang their aggression on and creating a set of demands that can never be satisfied but can go on forever.
i dont suppose one should blame morton for pandering to the lowest levels and repeating the same old shibboleths over an over for the purpose of garnering readers but the as far as I am concerned it is time the nonsense stopped and editors started demanding more of their jpurnalists than the same old tired nonsense.
in her defense she claims to be providing context for readers but I dont buy that at all.
in the words of donald duck: phooey.
allisn mau wishy washy about meaning and sloppy in her grammar...
whoever subbed her column in todays sst needs their heads read.
they have used an apostrophe to change the meaning of he had to he is?
and wtf is 'he'd' pray tell?
do these ocuupiers of the space in the sst not read their own articles after they have written them and if words dont matter anymore then I guess grammar doesn't either.
has andrea vance got a rot in her intellect....
todays sunday star times features an editorial opinion by one anddrea vance trying to argue that the NZLP is suffering from third termitis.
she argues from the parfticular to the general to cast slurs upon labour party MP's who have made slips in their actions to damn all labour mp's.
this is shoddy jornalism at its best and it is not a valid argument in anyones book.
is she taking orders to write this sub-standard propaganda for the nationals party?
one look at her pic shows a disgruntled sour opinionator fully paid up by the right wing owners of the press to dun the government under the protection of their overwhelming ability to penetrate the national psyche with no chance whatsoever of a right of reply.Friday, April 21, 2023

Grant Robertson gets two half columns to rebut tory propaganda by paul glass in the Wairarapa Times Age...
wairarapa times age gets comeuppance
last week the wta published a full page editorial by one paul glass claiming to be a reasoned analysis of the governments policies but in essence a full scale anti-government tirade.
it must have been a matter of some chagrin to the editor ot this rag to print a rebuttal by the Minister of Finance Grant Robertson but to be fair they did print it even if it was only a quarter of the size of glass' panegyric
