the burning bush...

when herodotus went on his journeys around the known world he came back with many curious facts.
for instance the scythians would after dinner in their yurt light a certain bush tilll it gave off smoke profusely and then they all had a gay old time.

other mentions in antiquity are well documented as to the utility of the burning bush.
from the chinese and the indians especially and tibetans still worship Millarepa who brought the bush to the kingdom.
fast forward to the 14th century when the ottomans were on the rise.
who knows about their tippling habits but they were dedicated to the poppy and the burning bush for their religion prohibited the use of alcohol.

"Being a woman is a terribly difficult trade since it consists principally of dealings with men."
"It's only those who do nothing that make no mistakes, I suppose."
"We live as we dream -- alone..."
"It was written I should be loyal to the nightmare of my choice."
"My task, which I am trying to achieve is, by the power of the written word, to make you hear, to make you feel -- it is, before all, to make you see."

now for something completely different...
