My Christmas present arrived early this year.
200 copies of an EEnglish publication of the History Of Aircraft.
Part of a weekly encyclopedia that the British used to specialise in.
all gone now of course.
its all hobbits and sheilas biting each other or zombies. (the new poor).
Waste them. Take em out.
The war is long gone.
Its only when you read this stuff that you realise how much effort went into protecting the free world and democracy from the monolith of the single party state.
All that gear.
All those guns.
And they were necessary to preserve our freedoms and for that matter they still are.
Nowadays its not so much a comprehensive ideology bu the actions of irrational people with access to all the spare hardware floating round.

Saw an old friend Erin up at the hospital yesterday.
He always used to sing How Great Thou Art at the Friendly Country Music Club and now he needs a ppermanent catheter.

We sang carols and had a nice lunch.
