listening to the wireless and the trailer for Radio New Zealand this a.m. is all about punk music.
See that is new zealand all over. they love talking about people that cant do anything. the derivation of punk comes from the epithet bestowed on the bum boys of Hobo's during the depression. Hobo of course being derived from hoberaux or dispossessed noblemen after the french revolution who had to hit the road.
anyway the thing is punks couldnt play then, they cant play now and they were just juvenile wannabees but somehow they have been romanticised beyond all proportion not for what they did but for what they destroyed.
hey ho thats the kiwi way.
isn't it.
anyway the daily rag opines today that cynics will get dementia sooner than the sunny people.
woo hoo but I dislike public holidays because every kayonedoubleyewone who thinks he is a gardener uses this time to go to his garden shed and mix up a brew of who knows what to punish the weeds in his environment.
So the country is awash with weedkiller and if you look closely at the inhabitants it is possible to see the mutations occurring from too much use of the stuff.
