WWUP project maven Basset Foss and sometime mayor of Masterton Bob Francis are being disingenuous about the damming of the Managaterere River. The real deal is that the price of water from this one will exceed farmers willingness to pay for it. The exact same reason that has sunk the Ruataniwha job.
Yet the nitwits still persist in roiling the water and jumping up and down on the spot as if it is somehow going to magically transform the figures. Maybe they figure that the government will eventually SUBSIDISE the project.
