when I was at school.
a long time ago now we learned two fundamental road rules.
1. when crossing the road look right, look left, look right again.
this was drummed into us by reciting it till we had it off by heart.
none of this post modern bullshit about only your own truths counting.

2. the other was when riding a bike to 'keep left'.
thats all pretty simple.
however when the national party took power in the 90's, coincidentally with the rise of post modernism in schools, (it made teachers jobs much easier when only your own truths counted) then whoever was in charge of roads was directed to systematically eradicate every 'keep left' road sign in the country.
some little coloured brochure produced by an overpaid wooly head communications expert is just not going to cut the mustard.
