tourism in Carterton...

lots of stuff going on sub rosa.
the factions are dividing up again.
one is tempted to say that the local council knows nothing about tourism.
they ain't tourists.
farmers, small businessmen, single owner entrepreneurs know how to cut costs.
most have never been down at the local pissoire when a bus stops and the tourists get out.
go and get some cheap honest tucker, look at the shops and go away satisfied with the people and the service and that sir is priceless.
but
Carterton is going ahead as they say.
the old is passing.
just be a bit more subtle about it and there will be benefits for all.
it wont happen immediately but it will happen.
don't try and flog it.

now for some other business.
I heard a little songbird the other night at the alfresco brew bar.
very cold night but she was brave.
Trotman told me about her.
Anyway I hear she is going away again.
I asked every muso around if she could sing and they said yes.
but off she goes.
see no one really knows how to do it right here.
they want to  hold it so close that it suffocates or escapes.
love is a ROSE  but you better not pick it.
only grows when its on the vine.
If anyone had any effing  brains they could make a mega star but they just far to small for that.

to enjoy their voices and to steal their arrangements.
