suicide was last week.
off the table now till next year!!!
never attempted sideways exit but have planted a few trees.
like hundreds and thousands dude.
up and down slopes that should never have clear felled in the first place.
rimus, ratas, you name name it.
all mowed down in the name of rate of return on equity!
tip: never jump on a felled rata that has ice on it.
they have a tendency to take off and you are the rider!
anyway sometimes in the planting we did little experimental lots of douglas firs and other exotics.
shit I was a tuff guy with a chainsaw.
then I saw the light.
there was a project to take 400 tons of west coast beech forest per day!
nooooooooooo.
protesed that and we won by extorting money from the tightarses in F&B to pay for a full page in the grey argus with a map of just how much was going to go.
even the locals knew that was wrong.
and the land there was just as erosion prone as the east coast in the north.
looking around for things to do the answer was tourism and the Barrytown Track which has now become the Paparoa Trail.
hmmmmm.
good luck folks
