the present one was out of date before it was built and has become dinky pokey stuffed to the gills tacky and showing signs of wear on all the margins.

it was originally a kneejerk response to local demands when the corporate eggheads infesting wellington at the time envisioned  fleets of ambulances and "choppers" ferrying  unfortunates from  without and feeding them into their system which was at that time being prepared for sale . crummy

 anyway what was ended up with was a travesty of the real needs of the district and designed not to last or be sold when the whole thing was used up to private interests.

a very false economy al round and the impact on the staff who do the difficult  practice of medicine with as much professionalism as they can muster in an increasingly deteriorating environment. 

We do the heavy hauling for the economy here in the Wairarapa and need to recognised.
