first solo...

Another member mentioned the DH Chipmunk. I did my elementary flying training in that wonderful little machine. I can still smell the leather interior and the 120 octane fuel. Downwind checks - MFFHHB - My Friend Flicka Has Hairy Balls - Mixture, Fuel, Flaps, Harness, Hood, Brakes! Me after my first solo in July 1969, Roborough airfield, Plymouth.
