Nationals 3waters policy makes perfect sense when included into everything else they have put on the table. One of the most telling aspects of Nationals long game is the online tax calculator. National have known all along that their tax policy is a con. They knew only 3K families would get the full $250. They know the foreign buyers tax is not going to make any money via China. The real money is in Saudi and the UAE.. they are fully aware of all of it. They have lied through omission. The only issue National have is that neither Luxon or Willis have been any good at actually backing up that omission.. neither of them are convincing liars and the internet and social media have been their undoing. But, they are still clinging on because their ultimate goal is privatising every thing including the water assets. The long game here is to have all of the councils pile up the debt. When they councils come to them with their hands out National will say, well, the writing was on the wall, we gave you what many of you wanted, now it's on you.. and the councils will roll over and sell up because they have no other option. In all my years of watching NZ politics I have never seen such blatant disregard from National in trying to hide its corruption, they have been willing to do and say anything for one last chance to sell up NZ by the pound to their rich and wealthy mates.. It's so fuckin blatant that I'm prepared to call it treason.
