Okay.
From What?
a few months back it was save the Mangatarere River from pollution from intensive farming in the lower reaches.
Last weekend there was a piece in the dompost saying the Carterton District Council had bought
the land there and was going to use it for sewerage purposes.
Thats okay but it all seems to have been done in some sort of crummy underhand way.
Why make all the fake hoo haa about it?
Oh sorry I forgot.
First you have to talk about it then you have to make sure that the right councillors get their name in the paper and all in all just another flummery job.
good talking people.
take the people with you.
and Save the Carterton Events Centre.
A tacky little notice on the front door informs people who drive over the pavers to drop their overdue books in the slot that the pavers are breaking up under the strain.
?
So.
What good will a silly little notice in small print sellotaped to the front door do?
anyway the more I think about it the more I think it would be better for the Wairarapa to become part of a large unitary wellington regional council.
its th eonly way to get rid of the parochial idiots who want to use the benefits of a council seat for their own personal gain.
there will hopefuly be more professionalism when some people who know what they are doing are in charge.
only problem is who will be the boss.
they all think they can become mayor daley and swing the big stick.
al lthe other liggers and clapped out ex mp's will be in there.
grasping and grabbing.
