time for a raincheck...

Good stuff in yesterdays rag about trump and how it is now incumbent on journalists to do some work instead of just sitting there going wow.
it seems as if the whole profession of journalism has become completely infantilised just like the people they are reporting on.

Full marks to Jane Bowron for her piece on new zealand journalists.
the pollies are running riot in NZ because the press corps here is totally infantilised.
They dont seem to know anything except the price of coffee and haircuts.

full marks to rod Oram for his piece on Sunday about the  National govmnt disbanding the Auckland City council and installing hand picked commissioners.
They will then have the power to sell Ports Of Auckland and The airport.
Hooton and Hyde and all their libertarian mates driving  the job who rationalise their greediness and pay for fine words to disguise it will get their share parcels under the table and we will have to pay for the buyers having to pay when they buy  something that we already own.
and all the other problems wil disappear when the greedies get their share.
Hell they are just looting the public purse and using parliament to hide their objectives.
Hooton and hyde and co are desperate to get rich and the only way they can do it is sieze public property.
They dont want to have to work for their money.

and top marks for Rosemary Mcleod on her piece on the kardashian and her steatotyptogous bum.
gross.
no more piccies please.

and the booby prize for paul henry this morning. a bombastic motormouth who has never done anything in his life and now thinks he can diss Muhammad Ali because he took up too much media time over the weekend.
Well fuck you paul henry.
You are gutless and snivelling.
whey dont you and mike hosking get a rooom.
if you are the best that this country can produce then we deserve all we get.

and Kathrun ryun is still using interrogatives all the time.
isn't she.
linguists say they are just tag endings but they are dishonest and disrespectful and  a philosopher would they say they commit the fallacy of arguing from authority.
But she knows best doesn't she.
She is supposed to set some sort of standard but she grates on my nerves.

now for something completely different...
