Two bills pulled from the members ballot box yesterday.
One on euthanasia which I oppose.
No one has the right to murder themselves even if it is granted some spurious legality.
Life is cruel and we have to take our lumps and not look for special cases just to satisfy our own desires.
The other drawn from the members ballots is a bill to legalise Cannabis for medicinal purposes.
Its about time.
The parliament has the chance to the right thing.
Suffering is bad enough but when there is a natural remedy or palliative which is denied because of the most spurious reasoning then that is where the crime lies.
It is far too imprtant to be left to bulletin boards on social media or to uninformed opinion.
This Parliament must do what is right.
