some say that when you get to this age then it is time to give up philosophy.
chuck away the books.
methinks it is good to keep the old noodle ticking over.
so far I have not got past the introduction in my copy of BGE.
just a couple of pages before the light goes off.
tonight I get to the text proper.
No notebook and writing down phrases to compare and contrast and check against the opinions on theintro.
just a slow perusal to keep the thought coming.

a lot of philosophy was torpedoed by The Contemporary Philosophy of the Social Science by one Brian Fay.
his examination shoots down so many shibboleths that is a joy to read as one by one they all go down.
e.g. it takes one to know one.
well we are all ones so nobody knows anyone!
