good item in my inbox this am about bee hotels in Amsterdam and the resurgence of bee species and numbers.
They will come back.
I must mention my own experience.
When I move in to my present accomodation I planted a purple sage.
It took off and went gangbusters.
It was extremely relaxing to sit on my patio and watch the hordes and squadrons of bees flying in to get their nectar.
It was non stop.
The next year the people next door hired a nitwit to mow the lawns and change the light bulbs.
when he isn't doing that he is walking round with a pesticide sprayer piddling on stuff at random.
needless to say that the bee population has declined to almost zero and the german wasps have taken over.
