No 1: The Wairarapa District Health Board have fenced off Masterton Medical.
Whatever grand strategies they are dreaming up in their corporate HQ they have completely forgotten that pedestrians use the access to Masterton Medical and now if you come from south Wairarapa on the bus there is a 3/4 of a mile walk around the hospital buildings to get to the clinic.
For and organisation supposedly dedicated to health they have given in to the motor car and bugger the people who walk
No 2: The Masterton District Council have blocked off the pedestrian swingbridge over the Waipoua River forcing pedestrians to make large detours.
If this were a motor car carriageway they would be bending over backwards to appease the ratepayers but in this case it would seem that the people who are actually doing something for the environment and their own personal health are being punished while the council takes its bloody time.
