vAs you can see Democracy is NOT Alive & Well at Auckland Council!
Yesterday the Tupuna Muanga Authority held a public meeting for 15
minutes. No public forum, No public submissions allowed. Again this
Wednesday 12 Feb from 10am on... the Governing Body of Auckland Council
will approve Tupuna Muanga Authority's intention to clear fell 1000s of
mature trees on the Muanga. No public input Allowed!!! Democracy is
dead! Corporate Fascism is Alive & Well! Open Goff's emails to the public! Bare witness go to this meeting at the Town Hall tomorrow!

You’re request to speak to the Governing Body at the extraordinary meeting on Wednesday 12 February 2020 has been considered and on this occasion has been declined under Standing Order 7.7.4 b).
Under Standing Order 7.7.4 b) a speaker may not use the time allocated for public input to speak about a matter that has a separate public hearings or consultation process attached to it.
The Draft Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Authority Operational Plan 2020/2021 and summary will form part of the consultation around the Annual Budget.
The consultation period for the Annual Budget will run from 21 February 2020 to 22 March 2020 and you will be able to submit feedback through written means, in person and digital channels. The Auckland Council website will have all the details here:

Good turn out from member of the public, HTM group and Occupy Garnet Road yesterday (Monday 10 Feb 2020).
TMA Board looked nervous and their meeting was farcical to say the least.

.......”Locking the gates with their own locks”....
Lisa and I turned up at 3am the first day of occupation to secure the protection of Ōwairaka’s trees.
The gate was left open and gate UNLOCKED.
Wow! this was great. Then Treescapes guys turned up at 5.15am-5.30am with their hurricanes fences.
Every morning we were there at 5am and gate was always LOCKED. Security guy turns up at 5.15am or 5.30am and UNLOCKED the gate.
In 11 November morning he said to Lisa & I you have changed the lock and I will report this.
We said “ mate, if it was our lock how come your keys can UNLOCKED the gates?”
He lied! He mumbled something under his breath and went and cleaned/ removed toilet rubbish.
