the so called civic leaders have somehow been emboldened by the promise of government seed money to embark on a programme of totally unneeded destruction to  clear the north end of masterton to construct their dream headquarters so hordes of tourists will  want to come back to view this marvellous spectacle they qua THEY have erected.

basically it is nonsense and no one seems to be able to call halt to these plans and call the perpetrators to order.
