Hank in front of the microphone at Ryman Auditorium electrifying a live audience. On his debut Opry appearance of June 11, 1949 he was called back for six encores and the audience had to be implored not to call him back for more to allow the rest of the show to go on.
Hank's most famous version of the Drifting Cowboys... Bob McNett (guitar), Hillous Butrum (bass), Jerry Rivers (fiddle) and Don Helms (steel guitar).
