got a call from a "consumer affairs" person this afternoon.
she could not really say who would have Protex Oatmeal Exfoliant Soap in stock but she did say that they are stillmaking it!
good.
I told her that 'IT WORKS".
maybe it does not pong with that antiseptic pong but never the less it still works when it comes to folliculitis.
she said try New World and Pack N Save.
No deal in Masterton so I will try Upper Hutt next week.

just reading her twaddle in the Wairarapa News entitled 'help my son is smoking weed'.
no atttribution.
plucked out of thin air.
It is a mish mash of fable and opinion and no fact.
In other words a blurb for the punitive authoritarian justice industry of new zealand.
Of all the cons the one I find most offensive is her contention that smoking weed can lead to arrest and permanent records.
At the end of her advice column she offers a little homily about mommy god and apple pie and offers the thought that if mom and god and apple pie do do the trick then marijuana will fade into the background.
If that is the case then she should take a stand and commit to the full legalisation of cannabis and stop beating around the bush in the childish way that only kiwis do.

He missed the point allright.
to write the Beatles off  as simply  writers of a few catchy ditties is a very poor understanding of the sixties and what they meant.
As if all the 60's was just another throwaway episode in the consumer culture of waste and the next big thing
For an over age boozer and composer of vapid prose it might seem an easy target to let go a stream of venom and spite for something that the modern world can never recreate is pretty childish and shows how lightly culture touched the hidebound dinosaurs of yesteryear. 
They didn't understand then and they dont understand now.
Modernity has brought with it unparalleled extensions of authoritarianism and inability to accept the legitimacy  of anything but the demands of the ruling elite.
Users are always in the business of protecting their supply and Bennett protects his in part by spruiking for the team that wants to destroy the world so they can have jets hotels booze cricket and bad poetry now!
and fuck posterity.
btw I have 13 Beatles albums, 17 Rolling Stones, many others by them, the who, the kinks, the animals, the pretty things, the yardbirds, and the easy beats whose nifty arrangement /renditon of Friday On My Mind  would make Mozart gasp!
