New Zealanders are anti intellectual.Mainly because NZ is a learn by doing society and everybody thinks thats all they need to know.
It doesnt matter that they all rely on metallurgy and technology to the max but hey close your eyes and its all copacetic.
They dont want some smart ass telling them anything.
It means they have to think instead of doing!
They just want to use it and pretend therefore that they have mastered the whole thing.
The other thing is they all rough tuff creme puffs but the moment they have an ingrown toenail then they race off for an MRI or CAT scan.

Read the British dictionary of biography published after WWII and you will be absolutely amazed at the number of New Zealanders who stayed on in England rather than returning here.
