the prime minsiter took a back seat to the minister of finance on the nightly news conference last night on teeveee.
thats not looking good for the government.
bill english was never going to be acceptable to the voters and thats why John Key was rung in in the first place..
the only altenative is David Shearer but the party seems to be fractured.
the rank and file and the standardistas want david cunliffe but the greybeards in the party have installed Shearer but there is no guarantee that he will be any better than JOhn Key once he gets the 24/7 media spotlight focussed on him.
if ya aint born to it then it gets ya!
