looking for something...

Vincente Fox

This mornings briefs in the Dompost has an item on Mexico's previous president, Vincente Fox, who is asking for the general legalisation of Marijuana. Last night I watched an hour long programme on New Zealand Detectives detailing their arrests most of which were connected to the sale of Marijuana.
Much as I support the police and their difficult job in this namby pamby society that we have constructed for ourselves I could not help but wonder if any of them had looked at the problem from the other side and considered the legalisation of cannabis.
Nobody in New Zealand seems to have much faith in the ability of the society as a whole to protect itself.
Alcohol in New Zealand is the main destroyer of family life and values and the concomitant results but any observer will see that this result has been legislated into the social fabric and taken away from the people who can best control it and that is the neighbourhood.
Marijuana is a totally different drug and is specific to those who need to control or delude themselves that they can control their own depression.
Unlike alcohol it is not a specific defence for paranoia which in itself is a specific defence to control unconscious passive h*m*sexuality.
There is a tendency in New Zealand to willfully disbelieve any theory that disagrees with making money or analysing social problems.
If a problem is recognised then a group si formed and funding arranged but the problem is never analysed and discussed.
Just swept under the carpet.
Like begging in Wellington. Begging boxes will be set up and an administration with salaries and offices and don't forget the VAN. (hahahahahahahaha)
I wanna van tooooooooo.
I digress.
Marijuana abuse would be solved immediately if it were legalised but clothed in enough protection to relegate it to the underclasses and those who need to self medicate instead of the now established bureaucracy and criminal gangs who need each other to justify their existence.
New Zealand is basically run by accountants who come to believe after a while, just like David Humes constant conjunction, that they have some sort of superior knowledge and wisdom because everyone else is in thrall to their ability to okay the funds.
Unfortunately most of them dont read and have no idea about anything except how much their suit cost and wether they can paint up last years xmas present to give it to the next kid in line.
They are not the sort of people that know whether a social policy is going to work.
ONly how much it costs and who is going to get the contract.
And dont forget the VAN!
Its all very sad.
