Lovely day today.
Its all sunshine and lollipops today.
Went to church for the oldies service and the sermon was about the sanctification of Maximilian Kolbe.
This man took anothers place in and Auschwitz dungeon and was the last to die of the ten put there in reprisal for an escape.
He turned the dungeon into a place of worship and finally the doctor gave him a lethal injection so he would not have to endure any more pain.
How many of us could do the same?
Kolbe also published on the evils of the world.
It is hard to imagine that happening now.
IN an age of jet travel and ubiquitous arms he would have been dealt to by now by someone who believed that their cause was just.

Ditto Martin Rinkhart.
He stayed with his flock who were dying with the plague when he could have fled.
Only Christ teaches us that we can have eternal life and his message can make life bearable under the most extreme conditions.
