boom boom boom boom...

more stuff for the stocking.
Just finished Once Upon A Time by Ian Bell.
Yet another bio /analysis of Bob Dylan.
For a musician it is filled with inaccuracies and opinions that really don't wash and shibboleths.
e.g the one about Mike Bloomfield's playing being 'frantic'.
dude learn to play!
reasonably interesting but the point is that you can only write Blonde On Blonde once and at some point in any career the energy winds down.
anyway Highway 61 and Subterranean Homesick Blues are great albums for the novice to learn some chops from.
Bell repeats the other old one about Bobs guitar playing being rudimentary but if he never became another Mike Bloomfield then Mikey never could rhythm like Bob dand not many others could either.
so there ya go.
Get into it and you will find hours of enjoyment learning to drive a band at lightspeed.
hehehehehehehehe.
and you gotta have Magical Mystery Tour. It has bonus tracks like Strawberry Fields forever and that is my pick for the greatest single of all time.
