Dazed And Confused....

First Question in the Dompost op-Editorial page Quik Quiz this morning was what year did Led Zeppelin release their first album?
1969 of course.
Coincidentally I listened to it last night.
In my opinion it is their best album.
It is musical in a way that the others are not.
At that point they were jamming before Jimmy Page hit his aranging straps and the songs became more structured into the fantastic series of albums that then appeared.
One of the seven wonders of the world.

anyway the go is to listen to Flatt and Scruggs Version of The Storms Are On  The Ocean which is in 3/4 time and then Bill Monroes "Linda Lou" in 4/4.
by that time one is loosened up and the ear is tuned and you are ready for Led Zeppellin!!!!!!!
thats when you can play 3/4 figures over a 4/4 time signature.
