the overwhelming lesson of the Florentine renaissance is that people had to look backward before they could go forward.
and it was no smooth path.
That is the glory of human history.
It cant be fixed and as soon as you think you have got it covered then it takes off in another direction.
MY hope is that when this present is dug up as the past in another future then what will be important is the music.
Not only for what it says about now but how in the 60's people made their own.
