Rick Bryant and Lindsay Meech...

am back from U-Hutt.
wet and damp but people  in a good mood!
that's not the way it is supposed to be if you listen to the windbags in the media!
hehehehe.
went to Liberty Books where Rhys handed over 2cd's that old pal Glin Meech leaves there for me.
One was a Japanese cd of Glins brother Lindsay Meech's jazz band taken from RNZ broadcasts with some nice tunes on it.
The other was Rick Bryant and the JiveBombers album "You Can Be The Boss".
Top R&B from one of New Zealands premier vocalists.
And a twofer of Johnny Horton for $8 from the warehouse.
Sink The Bismarck dude.
Grooved around and then caught the Golden Express home.
Cracked it for a chat on the platform with a very nice NZArmy high ranker also waiting  for the train.
Great to know our country is being defended by people of such high calibre!
oh yes!
come back again you'all.
One of my own little pleasures is scrolling through the album list on my laptop media player.
2,089 titles with only thumbnails piccies but cool and somehow they keep changing to keep up with every different releases.
anyway checked out the track listing for Commander Cody And The Lost Planet Airmen and found "That's What I Like About the South".
Many years ago when I was getting some lessons from the late  great Max Winnie he put the Bob Wills version on a cassette [remember them?] for me but I never mastered it.
The relative minor and the ascending chromatic chord progression was too much for a tyro with tin ears. hahahahahaha. they better now!
 Hi Trudy!
This time it was breeze.
Thanks Max. Thanks Trudy.

now its lie down time.
I can only take so much walking and if I push it then phut, the legs give out and protest in pain.
I am not 18 anymore.
I could go into the  Twilight Zone but it is better to wait it out and adhere to the schedule.
Nice to see the lotteries commission giving Team NZ $10.000,000 for their fizzboat and $300,000 for the anti-abortionists and then to receive a letter from them saying that I am not needy enough for a mobility scooter. Take it like a man.
yeah right.
