auckland fails...

 I hear that whoever the authority has devolved to that the Parnell Rose Gardens are to be defiled with a concrete monstrosity to the failings and the litany of lies that was the Mount Erebus disaster when an other wise properly functioning airliner was flown into the side of a mountain in Antarctica.

the whole thing is a travesty all round and putting a monument into robbies park is an infantile, gross waste of money and and a very poor understanding of what is really needed to commemorate this tragedy.

Air New Zealand has never accepted any responsibility for this tragedy and they are rubbing it in by consenting to this thing.

and BTW. To the families that lost loved ones the siting of this thing has been planned by people who are intent on removing any trace of Sir  Dove Myer Robinson from public consciousness and they have used to this to disguise their own agendas.
