memo to Steven Colbert...

Dear Steven Colbert

I know you like our country so I am asking you to add your  voice to stop the desecration of this lovely little park in Auckland,.

As you may know there was a dreadful tragedy 40 years ago where an Air New Zealand joyride crashed into Mount Erebus in Antarctica with a loss of life of all 237 on board.

Now a whole gang of upstart politicians and others want to dump a concrete and stainless steel monstrosity into the middle of this peaceful haven in the middle of the city as a monument to the fallen.

The plan is hideous and overbearing and totally out of character but the bureacrats and the wardheelers know best.

Please add your voice to the dissent.

Only keewees could dream up an 11 hour joyride to nowhere and then crashing the bloody aeroplane in a still unexplained mystery and only keewees would want the rest of the countgry to join in a collective guilt trip and to impose the will of a few on the rest.
