country music in china

listening too charley pride. he does real cool cover versions of most songs. try cottonfields in the key of E major. start on the chords then swing the bas and finally work up some leads in the treble. then liste n to the byrds do you wanna be a rock 'n roll star and ask yourself iif it was all worth it?
anyway the have opened a mandarin school for gwailos in peking. good. it means that  China is not an imperial power. but China must also send students to study the western tradition if she wants to avoid the pitfalls and excesses of commercial madness. And some students to study the industrialisation of the United States and ergo the world for some perspective.
introspection will never supply all the answers.
Dig?
p.s. how you like the decadent capitalist music?
