handful of classics... and message toi Vladimir

Big front coming up from the south this afternoon and it will all turn to crap.
Endless fronts out of the southern ocean.

Jack Hitt from the United States is probably the best commentator on US politics at the moment.
Dont know who he writes for back home but he is pretty on to it.
Good interview on Radio New Zealand this morning.
(Kathryn Ryan is ok when she is not using interrogatives)
Looks like Barack Obama is on the up.
The media in New Zealand is really pissed off about that.
At heart they are all snivelling little tories but waht can they do.
Wearing black doesn't really seem appropriate.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Just googled Jack Hitt.
He writes for Harpers
New York Times Magazine
&
Rolling Stone.
None of his books in our Library though.
wonder why?
Hope you like the movies.
They great back in the day and still have dramatic intensity that somehow the modern bunch of cgi stuff just conjure up.
why is that?
Just come from the Family Shop.
Found three VHS vids.
The Empire Strikes Back
(still in original packaging)
Crocodile Dundee
and
wait for it.....
Slim Dusty In The Nineties

how cool is that dudes?

My shoulder and elbows still protesting after daffodil day.
2 hours in the frigging cold for $20
WOW!
Anyway its fun working over Crystal Gayle sings Country.
Her voice is a bit 'regional' but still packed with yearning and desire that makes a country song agreat country song!

FUN STUFF

Vladimir (the impaler) Putin.
You on it dude about nz freetrade deal.
Just more words that the PM can put on his CV when he gets the shove at the next election.
He cant show us the real.
Politics in NZ has come down to infantilised idiots working out their own personal problems on the wider stage while the rest of it goes down the tubes.
The government has become schizophrenic.
It wants national standards in schools but is promoting charter schools that set up their own standards.
So they cant be national standards then.
The New Zealand education system is actually pretty good but anyone it seems can become a whiner and get serious consideration by pushing a policy that will make the whole system transcend into another level.
Yeah Right.
They are like the noo noo  heads that say the United States Constitution is perfect except just this one detail that I personally have anlaysed that needs to be changed otherwise the rest is all crap.
In the US they seem to be able to deal with these wackjobs but in New Zealand they get taken seriously because either a) there is nothing else to talk about or b) the media watchdogs are so infanitlised themselves they cant tell the difference betrween real and nonsense.
ho hum.
so it goes.
