the media has trivialised and demeaned the justice system for its own ends ever since they were given access to court rooms with their cameras.

after all the high flown rhetoric back in the 1990's the whole thing has turned to custard as the media transforms itself into the leader of the lynch mob.

similarly who has seen the ads running on teevee at present advertising Canterbury University.
the semantic content of these ads is nothing short of idiotic and childish.
Isn't it?
How the governing body of this once fine university could allow itself to be presented in this way defies all analysis.

their announcers have now taken to using interrogatives at the end of their sentences.
aren't they?
hell we all know that ozzies were descended from criminals but deliberately using dishonest figures of speech just gilds the lily and tells us all what we knew already.

Are they copying the all knowing all wise radio sport who believe that they can use dishonest figures of speech just because they are on the radio.
Its bad enough that ex-all blacks are getting up in the papers saying there is too much footy but the union is so greedy that they may well kill the goose that layed the golden egg.

along with basic dishonesty and over exposure its nearly over.

there is the WEA being lauded by Chris laidlaw on RNZ and their big thing is that they used to have karl Popper as a guest lecturer.
Well Karl Popper was a horrible old man who had no real interest in science or philosophy. when he arrived in Vienna as a freshman he was put inhis place because he wanted to discuss 'interesting" questions and did not want to deal with reality.
He spent the rest of his life "GETTING EVEN" and crowing about it.
didnt he?
He ran away from Europe just like he ran away from everything but hey he came to New Zealand so we better lick his ass.
shouldn't we?
and the WEA should know that he was a bitter opponent of socialism and group activities but hey he wrote some books so we better toady to him.
