Fine day today.
Cool to start but now the sun is up and everything is smiling.
The world is ticking over.
Big ups on the environmental segments KIm HIll is presenting every saturday morning at nine.
It is becoming more and more obvious that the world is heading towards an environmental disaster but nobody seems to care.
The inertia of new cars, mortgages, and overseas travel has everyone hypnotised and they cant see that what needs to be done might be uncomfortable.
one example.
The "Banks" (?) have told the Reserve Bank that they can self regulate when it comes to deposit rates for house loans.
Well it was the collateralising of no depositi laons into opaque financial instruments that brought the house down the last time but the "Banks" still want to retain that right.
Well thats okay but then the RB must raise the reserve ratios.
okay.
anyway thats just a sideshow to the maion event which is the burning of fossil fuels.
till action is taken on that front then the portential for disaster is only escalating and waiting for the bubble to burst with potentially catostrophic consequences.
and
listened to a doco on RNZ last week where a whole lot of psychiatrists began mouthing words about ental illness.
the thing is of all the so called sciences only psychology/psychiatry has no unified theory.
which means that many in the filed are therapising on the basis of opinion.
e.g. one person who was manic depressive calimed that her afflcition was spiritiual and that it was a gift from god.
well she was a christian so therefore her religionwas from the western hemisphere and capable of anlyisi under those terms and not some woolly version of a postied culture.
Culture is the analysis and comparsion of learned patterns of behaviour that m,an uses to master the natural world.
not dance and art and grass skirts.
thats just fluff used to sstymie any investigation.
and its rife everywhere.
and just because you have a biciycle doesn't mean you know how to fic a puncture but everyone with a brain thinks they know how it works.
yeah right!
