If you want to learn to play music propely listen to the sheilas.

oom shakalaka shakalaka, oom shakalaka oom shakalaka oom shakalaklaka....

the thing isn't working?
no pix.
ummmmmm.
what next.
went  to town.
more expense to get the device operational.
in the meantime my arm gets more rehab.
so not all bad.
been listening to a lot of Rollings Stones at the moment.
Keith is undoubtedly one of the all time greats.
Not many around now.
thin on the ground.
all strangled by the vocoder cords attached to their pro tools.
????????
Cambridge Encyclopedia of Language.
no mention of logic?
or hyoid bone?

nearly time for the tomatoes...

strange day today.
no one around.
intermittent rain squalls and gusts.
funny op-ed leader in the rag on the PM today.
The opinion was the Queen was bored and more interested in the yachting.
Looks like he already knew that Oracle was the faster boat
hmmmmmm.
anyway the key issues are the environment and getting everything set before the catastrophe.

sorry to be so doomy but I like to shove it up the users who thought that it was going to go on for ever.
nope.
However that is no good reason to throw in the towel.
Kiwis are used to going without much of the other crap and are psychologically adaptable so whatever the outcome we will survive and flourish.
dont doubt that.
OK.

its all over now baby blue...

Well my life sort of got bogged down with wires, batteries and hot dribbles.
I had to learn to solder off you tube but I got it done.
From 1/4 inch jack down to the other size.
Why they put these tiny little connections on is a mystery to me.
anyway I have aquired a new skill set.
Not that professional but good enough.
Now all I have to do is make the SD card work so I can run it in the Tascam.
hmmmmmmmmm.
Anyway the thing is it really goes against my grain using solder.
Lead and tin.
both mined in a way that absolutely vitiates the environment.
Heavy fucking metal.
little item on page 4 of the rag yesterday.
The effects of global warming are going to be much worse than anyone anticipated.
However the conventional wisdom as exemplified by baby boomer geriatrics is that scientific normativism is going to save the day.
It might.
but only for some!
hehehehehehehe.

the baby boomers....

took everything
grabbed everything
used everything
and now they gonna die.
bluuuurp!
ya get that.

diddy diddy wah diddy...

Making the Tascam go has beena real mission.
Had to wire up leads with dissimilar jacks and learn to solder all over again.
Then change eveyrhting into mp3 then format the sd card and then download the mp3s onto the sd card and then put it in the frigging machine.
never mind.
I have a connection straight from my laptop to the amp and I can get some volume.
apart from that went to Wellington yesterday and had a nice lunch and then went looking for bits.
couldn't finda a shop for the jacks and the sd cards were twice a s expensive as back home.
ya hear tha t you all?
I asked the shopkeeper and he went on about rental rates and greedy landlords.
hmmmmmmmm
any way good luck for Dean Barker Tomorrow.
Take it dude.
The one and only George Shuffler!

Groovy huh?

flowers in the rain...

America's cup.
Its dragging out.
Obviously its not that easy.
nooooooooooooooooooo.
not really my game.
I like terra firma.
The more firma the less terra.
Greatest songs of the 60's.
Here are two.
Flowers In The Rain by the Move and Snowblind Friend by Steppenwolf.

He said he wanted heaven but praying was too slow.
so he booked himself a ticket on an airline made of snow!
One extols the use of psychoactive substances and the other casts a disapproving eye on the whole deal but they both say something about the 60's.
First it was supposedly groovy to trip out man and join the club.
yeah right.
But then it wasn't so hot if you got a bad habit on Peruvian marching powder.
In fact neither of them were any good in the long run.
Any addiction has as primary goal to prevent the addict from feeling their true thoughts and feelings and eventually it wears you out.
You know like DT's from too much booze, lung cancer from tobacco and depression from too much cannabis.
Ya don't get nuthing for nuthing.
Yesterday they had a psychoactive substances seminar but I did not see anyone that knew what they were talking about.
Just a gathering of self righteous ignoramuses looking to circle the wagons and devise more punitive measure for sufferers.
hmmmmm

The Late Show
With David Letterman
Hi Kids. I really enjoyed the 20th anniversary show.
Very funny.
chortle chortle.
And Paul I dug the Pink suit.
where can I get one of those?

Racism in New Zealand.
Big headline in the rag this morning.
so whats new?
time to have some sort of national discussion and get it out in the open.
otherwise the rednecks and wannabee Nazi's have it al ltheir own way.

New Zealand suffering a dreadful miasma...

Isn't it.
The media have taken it upon themselves to affect the incessant use of interrogatives which are dishonest, disrespectful and an invalid mode of argument.
Who do they think that they are that they can foster this affectation which is corrosive and vitiates the national discourse.
It seems as if they have picked it up off the TeeVee where every second two bit hack uses them but in real life in the USA it is abhorrent but here in New Zealand where TEEVEE roolz they thin they are being smart when it is just banal and degrading.
Isn't it.

anyway.
Local body politics is in full swing at them moment where we are all being urge to vote for the lesser of two evils.
In Carterton my vote will go to the candidate who promise to do something about the dog shit on the corner of McKenzie Terrace and Broadway.
Its fresh every morning and nobody cleans it up.

Air New Zealand.
Dammed if they do and dammed if they don't.
Hey Karl its not like running a railway line.
Think of passenger aircraft that have landed on taxiways and the guy who flipped and dove his fully loaded aircraft into Tokyo bay.
It is not possible to have any sort of perfection such and environment and to expect it is totally selfcentred.
And you know of course that aeroplanes are more complex than how women display their handbags!
hehehehehehehehehe.

so to get back on the ground its much better to stay home and hug a tree...

yep.

now for something completely different...
