It will never die!
a friend sent me Michael Bloomfield's Legendary Licks the other day from rhe USA.
Massive kiddies.
The accompanying CD is ace and the tab is spot on.
Every guitar player should study this book and the whole Mike Bloomfield discography for unending pleasure of discovery and the pure joy of listening to a genius.
Like A Rolling Stone.
hehehehe.
I have a lot on at the moment so it will have to wait but hey presto Mike uses the exact same solo on The East West version of Cannonball Adderley's Work Song as performed by the unnamed guitarist on Nina Simone's version. It does not detract from either of them one wit. This is all marvellous music and Michael Bloomfield (Bloomers to his mates) brought so much joy into the world that the great city of Chicago should put up a statue!
anyway.
looking through the vhs' yesterday looking for something to watch before the 'Blacklist' on TV3 and I came across the Boys From Brazil still in its shrink wrapped wrapper.
It will have to wait
I have a really good collection of movies now but they take up so much room!
apart from that all good.
Nice grey day today but still warm
later Just got back from town and its grey to the south but a lovely opaque light through the high norwester clouds. The foothills are in crisp relief and the next range disappearing into the misty blue.
Off to get a black pudding from the butcher and then home on the Blue Bus for the afternoon.
Catch you at the back of the Blue bus, blue bus, blue bus.
