New Zealand Kiwis...

do it again boys for the fans!

Sitting here watching an old vhs of her majesty the acid queen Tina Turner.
1982
Waiting for the League.
She shakes that thing.
Great band and great dancers.
Not feeble wannabees but real dancers!
Saw Taylor Swift the other day on Dave TV and she glistened so badly that all the juice was lost in this glare of limp clothes and her new dancers who to put it frankly were just not erotic.
Just filling up space and distracting from what was a very weak song.
She should take a lesson from Tina.
Her chicks are hotter than her in the legs and boobs department but it only serves to ramp the whole thing up another notch.
Taylor seems to have got rid of the chick that was white hot.
I dont think she could stand the competition!
Ya get that.
Her loss and ours.

Stand By Me.
A great movie but when you read the preview in the rag one wonders if they are talking about the same thing.
Letting professional or more to the point post modern critics or reviewers loose on a movie this good is a tragedy.
They dont ever want to say anything good about an above average flick.
They seem to be conditioned to disparage and make irrelevant judgements that have nothing to do with the dramatic power or the story.
Its bloody horrible.
Every kid I know that has seen this movie raves about it and no reject bighead from filmschool 101 with a paying gig on a rag and a desire to prove themselves a film intellectual is going to make one whit of difference to the kid who watches this, extracts their own meaning and lives and feels they have seen something that actually makes a difference.
And coincidentally I was watching another vhs today with the Chordettes doing Lollipop Lollipop and Phil and don doing the handclaps!

Now:
Tina is pulling out all the stops without any satin slinky crap shimmering around an emaciated anorexic body disguising the extent of the weight loss.
Like REAL.
Whats more Tina and the gang are ENJOYING themselves which seems to be a foreign concept these days.

Gotta go now...

now for something completely different...
