the greatest country album ever. it contains two of the absolute best country weepies of all time.
there is none better. sure willie and george and conway twitty all gave it a go and leroy van dykes " world caving in" comes close not to mention freddy fenders "next teardrop falls". Johnny knocks it out of the park.
If you want the backstory then wikipedia is the first go and the rest you have to make up for yourself.
The title of the album itself is the controversial ditty take this shove and shove it which I think everybody in every station has thought to themselves at sometime but there are two standout tracks.
