I can feel the heat closing in

Driving on the RimNinety-two in the ShadeGallatin Canyon (Vintage Contemporaries)The Cadence of GrassPanamaBushwhacked PianoThe Sporting ClubThomas Mcguane one of the best American authors of the last century. They dont make em like this anymore. And they dont buy his books anymore.
The girl next to me is covering books for the library. Another Allan Carr job on how to give up smoking. A lot of rubbish.
The only book that really works is "How to Stop Smoking and Stay Stopped For Good", by a Gillian Riley. I think the book wholesalers think the librarian here How to Stop Smoking and Stay Stopped for Goodis an easy mark. They just offload the rubbish they cant sell to anyone else on to him. Fraid so. But then what would I know about anything. I dont have a car therefore I must be an ignoramus! q.e.d.
The cultural comittee at the Carterton District Council need a flipping rocket. There seems to be no oversight whatsoever about wasting money purchasing nonsense. I suppose I could be accused of being unfair but the ratio of good stuff to crap seems inordinately high to me. Other Libraries are the same so it might just be a hazard of the game but if it is then something is definiteley wrong with the the library service in this country. I know. They cant read!  Not that they cant. they just cant be bothered. haw haw haw.
Fruit and veges. the cost of the very basic building blocks of healthy people in New Zealand is being ratcheted up so that they are becoming almost unaffordable. more malice in blunderland. the place is going crazy. plenty of cars and leafblowers and airlines and such but nobody can afford veges on a day to day basis.
Murdoch: hubris dear boy. hubris. money cant buy everything.
