the real deal on local politics

Over the weekend I have reflected on ron marks outburst in the info centre last friday.
Well how about this then. Ron Mark purports to be a soldier but I find no evidence of it. I have read the peloponnesian war by thucydides and the tales of alexander and Caesars account of his time in Gaul and Tacitus and all the rest of them right up to Dwight Eisenhowers bio which mark should read because it contains pertinent facts about men and how to treat and motivate them. trashing them and trying to isolate them from the rest of the community might be the way you do to win a petty short term victory in front of others but in the end the truth will out. carrying on like a school playground clique doesnt cut it. ron mark doesnt appear to have read a book in his life. in fact he claims to have x-box as a hobby. ring da ling ding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyway his economic conference is a joke.
he is just making a noise to make it look like he is doing something. if he was serious then he would be talking to people who know what to do. not gathering a gang who think they do.
he is electioneering after the campaign is over.
if he was serious about the economy of Carterton then he would listen but he doesnt listen. he is like every other vainglorious fool that thinks they know everything. Just because he was spoonfed in the army and then sent off to bump off wogs for an eastern despot doesnt make him a soldier and certainly not a democrat.. it just makes him a venal mercenary who will do anything for money.and now he ahs been rung in to spearhed the town he thinks it is the same as the army. senior officer present and all that stuff when he is not really fit to command anything.
I dont know who his patrons or backers are but they have the wrong man. shoulder tapping an idiot in youth hoping that they will grow up to the job doesnt work and if you shoulder tap an idiot you still get an idiot.
and by the way if Dunedin people have had a gutsful of a stupid stadium they didnt need then wait till the people of Carterton really find out how much it is going to cost to keep the behemoth going.
its all very well going on about the size of it (BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGG) and juicing up the sheilas arond the place by promising them a seat at the table when the john keys comes to open it so that you will have a harpies chorus but in the end it is entirely unnecesary and time will show it to be so.
Just think what you could have created with that $6,000,000 instead of building a monument to the ego's of the last gang of idiots who wanted to make their mark on the place.
