wondering when the Carterton District Council are going to do something about the people wandering through Porrit Place at all hours of the day and night. somebody had a $4,500 motorbike stolen the other night and some of the locals have taken to walking their dogs in what is supposed to be a precint for old people. Is it too much to ask for some action. Why do these yuppies think they have to exhibit thir ghastly mastiffs and other rare breeds straining at the chain to a collection of frail elderly people.
who are they trying to impress.
Just googled Lucy Freeman and found she had died in 2005.
She was a reporter on the NYT till she started writing books on Psychoanalysis, her best being "Freud Rediscovered". She was never scared of examining case histories of some of the most damaged people. One of the best was the skin man who could only obtain erection when he was draped in the skins of women he had murdered.
stranger than fiction dude.
Life always is.
At the moment I am listening to the essential simon and garfunkel and I found a 2 cd set of Sly and the family stone the other day. Loud and exciting!!!!!
Also Warren Zevons 'excitable boy' is getting some airplay.
am Actually learning 'lets all gather at the river'. one of those old gospel tunes that everyone knows but is never given any time in sunday schools or other religious institutions. too American! Just like all the Bill Monroe albums that were never played when they came out. Too corny for the cosmopilitan aesthetes of this wunnerfull little country. hyukk hyukkk. I am sure Howard Morrison covered "Wont You Shake My Mothers Hand for Me". I heard it once but have never actually been able to find the vinyl. all these years later am still trying to find it.
Sir Robert Jones.
Congrats dude for trying to bill the reporter who doesnt know any local history.
you will be very lucky. most of all because they dont actually want to know the truth. they prefer to make it up or ignore it. they too busy celebrating some tacky cultural production like the crud that comes out of the film commission. They might even get a r**t if they go ligging at the beanos. get the picture?
in the end thats all that counts. who gives a shit about the truth.
Found a copy of A.J.P. Taylors English History 1914-1945 at the auction house on wednesday. 0nly $1!.
the great war is a story of fantastic stupidity and personal aggrandisement masquerading as public service as the protagonists fought to be top of the table and never mind the millions who got slaughtered at the front.
I must be attracting this stuff because I also got a book on the firebombing of Dresden. (Alexander Mckee)It makes me sick to read it and the pictures are just ghastly. It seems as if it was done for revenge pure and simple. All very grisly and not very nice.
Mr President
Hi Bo.
I hear our beloved leader is going to get an audience in DC in two weeks. How about asking him why I cant get a gig? I would really like to know.
