the RNZAF has a long and proud history of producing fighting men and adapting to the latest machinery whenver the country could afford it or needed it to meet treaty obligations.
Dont pass this opportunity up.
I snared a copy of Lincoln Colliers bio of Louis Armstron the other day. Have not been able to put it down and have had to go through the boxes (again) to find all the cd"s I got from the warehouse years ago for 50c each!
It has been great fun listening to such wonderful music. It just doesn't get any better.
I got chipped the other day by a redneck who asked why I featured so many Negros on my blog.
I can never find these people on the stats list but they all like to take a look.
just in case I said anything about THEM.
well click on a few ads you jerks and make me some money and if you want to play racist go somewhere else!
and when you learn to plya an instrument and make music yourselves then you might have swomething to say.
MIGHT?
Cricket. I haven't been able to listen to any domestic cricket this season. The commentaries are banal, infantile and full of interrogatives.
all these guys doing them must be pussy whipped by their wives when they are not busy watching coronation street. It doesn't matter how many times the oiks from Radio Sport slip one in just to they can say that nobody is going to tell them what to do, the use of inteerogatives is invalid, dishonest and disrespectful and so are you!
and the commentaries have become slipshod and boring.
Dig?
Graham Tuckett, the film reviewer for the Dompost is another interrogative user who thinks beczause he is actually employed by a newspaper can do what he likes.
No Graham. interrogatives are invalid, dishonest and disrepectful.
I feel like Cato the elder who ended every speech in the senate with "Carthage must be destroyed".
well the use of interrogatives must be ironed out of the speech of New Zealanders.
it tells too much about the user!
Texas Moaner Blues.
according to Lincoln collier this is the closest cognate to the the blues played in Storyville, New Orleans, before it was closed down and before the advent of the recording industry.
Had a moment last night.
Was listening to Dave Sinden on Radio Arrow's 60's revival show when he played Linda Ronstadt singing the Bob Dylan song"I"ll Be Your Baby Tonight".
I immediately wanted to drop everything and get out my LINDAS but fought off the temptation and stuck with Louis. LInda will keep. hehehehehehehe.
Mamie Smith.
First ever recording by a Black vocalist singing the blues!
way cool.
and dont forget; 9 out of 10 american crime writers reccomend Ma Rainey for putting fractious baies to sleep!
