Suffering from cognitive overload.
over 900 albums on the media player and sometimes I cant be bothered with any of them!
this morning I went oh heck and slapped on 'Another Side Of Bob Dylan'.
A truly great album.
And then on Radio New Zealand Bob does the american songbook.
?????
Very nice indeed.
Had to listen to all the chin tugging pontificating on Radio New Zealand as they raved on about Frank and other stuff they dont know anything about.
hahahahahahahahaha.
Neither Kathryn Ryan nor the plugger seemed to know that "some enchanted evening" was from the musical "south pacific"
they too busy citing Frank sinatra and appearing to be soofisticated.
no matter.
anyway Franks voice never did it for me.
I always wanted to reach for the swarfega and cut the grease.
he was a much better actor.
and Bob was always the better singer to my mind.
and a note on sophistication.
another song pluggers trick.
these songs in the songbook were composed with cutesy progressions and substitutions that could usually defeat the bedroom picker.
so the faux sophisticated could kid themselves they were a cut above the common herd.
yuk yuk yuk.
pull the other one.
go Bob!
