the rags are filled with the news today that the Greater Wellington Regional Council has been cited by the Advertising Standards Authority for presenting its own views as facts.
Chairman Fran Wilde has claimed that this is an abuse of democracy.
No facts just a claim.
Her will has been thwarted and now she is spitting the dummy.
She has been there far too long.
Not only that she is attempting to drive through the Mangatarere Dam Project before she gets the boot at the next election.
She has come to believe that she has a lien on everything.
Just look at the Wairarapa Water Use website and they have presented their views as facts.
And one guess as to who owns property and stands to benefit from the water retention scheme?
It seems democracy is only any good when these feeders on the public teat get first dibs on anything of any value to them and them alone.
and.. who gets to own the dam?
who will allocate the water and to whom.
this scheme is nothing short of environmental vandalism and political thuggery to benefit a selected few.
They think the Wairarapa is their own private little leggo set and everything here is just a cash cow for them to grab.
They are the same people who if they got the chance after amalgamation would sell off all the councils vehicles to their mates and then get their other mates to supply a whole new fleet.
ya get that on the big jobs.
