Metropolitan Opera Coming to Carterton...

Make YOur Own KInd of Music.

Just kidding folks.
We're not sooo fisticated enough.
we just hillbillies around here.
authentic hillbillies!
You know in the 'Great Book of the Pacific' there is a piccy of Carterton at the turn of the 20th century and the caption reads that Carterton is similar to western towns in the United States.
Troooo mate.
And we have the cows to prove it.
Wake early on a summers morn and you can smell the milk too.
That just isn't good enough for some people.
they want some 2nd grade celebrity chef who has slipped off the teavy or some regional band where the strings are two beats behind the brass.
I kid you not.
then they can all gather round and say how wonderful it was.
HYuckkkkkkkkk.
Anyway there was some sheila from Masterton at one of 'those' meetings who said that coming to Carterton was like coming to the wild west in a very perjorative sense.
Yeehaaa.
Well I dont take to sideways meanings.
Spit it out.
You people think its time to makeover New Zealand into some sort of MacNation.
yuccccccccccck.
If it was up to me I would have a big sign in Wild West lerttering proiclaiming our existence at both ends of the town.
How about a little authenticity around here instead of fake trying to be something that we aint.
Bed By the Window.
A marvellous novel about an old peoples home by Scott Peck the author of the Road Less Travelled.
Just because you might look silly doesn not mean that your are.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Very sore elbow today.
Worked up "Your Cheating Heart" by  Hank Williams over the weekend.
More broken assed hillbilly stuff but oh so good to pick out the melody and work the changes.
Cuzzy Kev was suitably impressed.
My only tomato plant is going for it.
Looked at it today and it has been sitting there for about two weeks and is starting to go for it now.
woohoo
