Watched the Patsy Cline Doco last night. She was just soooo goood. All the rest of the gang were there. Willie said that she did the best version of Crazy that he ever heard and in fact the best cover of any one of his songs. George Jones was effusive in his praise and Roy Clarke and all the rest. Crazy huh. You bet.
the other half was Loretta Lynn. I never got into her all that much but the sound quality was excellent and I gained a new appreciation of her voice. Conway Twitty said his piece and all round it was a nifty piece of work.
and this a.m. I found Cat Ballou at the growers market in Belvedere Rd.
Talking about movies I found a whole pile of James Bond VHSs the other day.
I'm running out of room to store them.
They better become collectible real fast.
anyway I think the problem with doods like Dmtri Kiselyov is that after Glasnost they were able to secure James Bond Movies and like primitive people all over they believe them to be true and now they want revenge.
Now they have inherited all the gear left over from the Soviet Empire they want to use it without any thought of the consequences.
Childish I know but that's the way of the world.
Dood.
An Item today in the Dompost showed that the lyrics of songs have changed over the last 50 years.
Love has gone!
It was only an invention of feudal courts in the 15th century but nevertheless it served its purpose.
Now its all pain and meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
There is no curiosity about the world now.
It has all become uniform and over done and self obsessed.
sad but troo.
nobody gives a damn about deforestation or over fishing or heavy metal poisoning. all they care about is their haircut.
