Wonderful day today.
Nippy first thing but getting warm and sunny.
Had to go to the hospital.
get the oil checked.
Maybe this engine wont stand reconditioning but hey what the hell.
Walked back down through the park.
The Mayor was there.

My message to her is to get rid of all the stuff in the park.
every councillor that comes along down the pike wants to make their mark by installing another attraction and by and by Queen Elizabeth 11 park just gets tackier and tackier.
Simple is best.A place to rest the mind and the eyes without STUFFFFFFFF.

where I live the council once had a fully trained classical gardener.
he knew his onions.
He planted all the verges around our units with annuals.
They may have looked a bit scruffy and they did harbour wildlife but when they burst forth in the spring it was wonderful.
then some transient staff member had a bright idea and money in the budget, took it upon themselves and filled them all up with gravel and now they are just a repository for cat shit!

I hate flies too.
I have an inbuilt resistance to using spray so the other day I went and got a triple pack of fly swats from the supermarket.
Oh what fun.
fly patrol every night and my right arm is just about ready for a tennis serve.

And after I tried a few songs I dialled up my Rev Gary Davis Gospel album and listened to Samson and Delihla and Twelve Gates to the City and YOu Got to Move at 50% volume while I cooked my tea.
Later I went to bed feeling very happy.
