Bad headline in the Dompost this a.m. i.e. "The Cops fight Back". In classsical ancient Athens the police force was 500 Thracian bowmen. Good fighting men but not enough to threaten the locals and by and large not involved with politics and the state.
Here the Police force has been emasculated by the neo-libs who would like the cops to be a stand alone business (?), the do-gooders who want the cops to be everybodys pal, and the prison industrial complex who want a steady supply of teenage drug fiends to keep their profits up. and the noise shops who are only too ready to supply them with hardly davisons to the point where they have no interest in enforcing the noise laws anymore while they live out their own juvenile fantasies at the expense of the public good.
They have lost sight of their primary purpose which is to keep public order and stop thieves.
In the meantime the dweebs have become emboldened.
If only their own truths count then they have a right to fight the cops.
