hehehehehehe.
Santa came early this year.
He brought From 'His Hands To His Heart To His Feet".
A 3cd and dvd album of Mike Bloomfields life.
A great tragedy.
He did so much but crashed and burned in his prime.
There is so much to him that a few lines here would never be capable of doing justice to his prodigious talent and the goodwill he spread where ever he went.
According to Gary Duncan of Quicksilver Messenger Service the San Francisco bands were not really up to it till the Butterfield Band played the Fillmore and all the hippy pretenders went and watched the professionalism of a dinkum Chicago Blues Band and a certified virtuoso.
The Paul BUtterfiled Band blew them all away at MOnterey but never made the main movie.
Jimi was front row!!!!
They all were!!!!
Jorma Kaukonen tells that when Mike realised he was not really all that good he took special time out to show him as much as he could.
Bloomfield was one of those who believed his gift was made to share and that giving it away would mean that it came back thousand folds.
Ya dont get that much these days.
And none of the little shits can play but hey they got groovy haircuts and expensive Les Pauls.
yuckkk.
I have to Agree with Gary Duncan that Mike was the best of them all.
That means all!
He had the chops and the tone and the feel.
Nuthin sweeter.
